Computers for Learning (CFL) program
www.computers.fed.gov/school/user.asp
The United States General Services Administration has found a way to recycle their technology wares back into the public education sector through its CFL program. Whenever a government agency no longer needs a computer, modem, printer, or server because of downsizing or technology upgrading, the equipment is transferred to public schools or educational nonprofit organizations through the program. Since they are donated from government agencies, most of the computers have Windows operating systems. All public schools are eligible to participate in the program. Visit the CFL website for eligibility requirements, registration, or assistance in assessing your technology needs.
