On October 7-8, 2002, several teachers in Guam attended a Picturing Science workshop. Workshop activities focused on showing teachers how to implement this project in their classrooms.

Using the Pacific Standards for Excellence in Science as the basis, participants discussed the theme of STEWARDSHIP. They created a word board and discussed all the words and concepts related to the theme. Then, picking from six categories within stewardship, participants used digital cameras to take three pictures representing their selection.

Participants learned how to extract words and write descriptively about their pictures. Click on the links below to take a look at the participants' work.
