Visiting Scholar Program

PREL welcomes nominations and applications of highly capable and recognized educators for its Visiting Scholar program. See our list of Visiting Scholars.

Eligibility

Visiting Scholars are commonly recognized leaders in their fields. They come to PREL from many organizations—locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally. Through many different forums, Visiting Scholars provide PREL and the region it serves with the benefits of their expertise.

Application Process

To apply for the Visiting Scholar Program, candidates need to submit two documents to Ms. Kim Gould, Director, Human Resources:

  1. Their curriculum vitae or resume
  2. A Cover letter detailing their area(s) of expertise and how their skills apply to PREL and its programs

Terms of Residency

A Visiting Scholar's term and location of residency varies. Specific terms of residency and contract conditions may vary based on the individual and his or her work with PREL.

Selection Process

Visiting Scholars are selected based on their background and content knowledge, identified program needs, and availability of funds.

Funding

Funding for the Visiting Scholar Program is provided through contracts and grants with the U.S. Department of Education and other agencies.
