Paul Dumas

Chief Programs Officer

Mr. Paul Dumas currently serves as Chief Programs Officer. As CPO, he oversees the implementation and development of PREL’s grants and contracts. Together with the PREL Management Team, he is responsible for developing and successfully implementing work plans, building collaborative networks across the region to leverage resources and maximize impact, and supervising and coordinating PREL program staff in the Honolulu office and regional Service Centers.

Mr. Dumas holds an MEd in curriculum and instruction, and has extensive experience in mathematics and science education, in addition to project management. He joined PREL in 1993, and has worked in the Pacific for more than 35 years. During that time, he taught secondary science and mathematics in Fiji, Nebraska, and American Samoa; served as American Samoa’s Science Curriculum Coordinator; and directed both the Pacific Mathematics and Science Regional Consortium and the Pacific Comprehensive Center.
