Alice TaumEvaluation Specialist Dr. Alice Taum is an Evaluation Specialist at PREL. She leads evaluation projects and has authored studies on a variety of topics including student cognition; scientific research in education; assessment; mathematics and science teaching, learning, and curriculum and technology applications in the schools. Dr. Taum has authored publications both for academic journals and government and has regularly presented at international, national, and regional conferences in the fields of education and human development. Prior to joining PREL, Dr. Taum served as Community Development Manager and Research and Evaluation Specialist for the Native Hawaiian Education Council and as Program Director for various large projects at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa’s Curriculum Research & Development Group (CRDG) and College of Education. She completed her doctoral degree in educational psychology at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. The title of her dissertation is "Alternative Measures to Assess Teachers' Practices, Attitudes, and Knowledge of the CREDE Standards for Effective Pedagogy". |
