Ms. Hamamoto graduated from Maryknoll High School in Honolulu. She received a BA in History from California State University, Long Beach; an Administrator's Certificate from the University of Hawaii (UH) at Manoa; and an MA in Education Administration from UH-Manoa. She was principal of McKinley High School in Honolulu; principal of Pearl City Highlands Elementary School; and vice-principal of Nanakuli High and Intermediate School and Maui High School. Her teaching experience includes social studies at the intermediate and high school levels in California and Hawaii; graduate assistant for university level geography; and high school level guidance and mathematics. Ms. Hamamoto is a member of ASCD, NASSP, and the Council of Chief State School Officers.
