Director of Education, Kosrae State Department of Education
Appointed Kosrae State Director of Education in 2007, Director Hadik comes to PREL’s Board with over 10 years of experience in Kosrae’s educational system. Most recently, Mr. Hadik was principal of Kosrae High School (KHS), where he oversaw 50 teachers and staff and over 500 students daily. Among many accomplishments, he introduced and enforced new graduation requirements and new school rules, and brought student records up to date. Prior to serving as principal at KHS, Mr. Hadik was a consultant to the Kosrae State Department of Education and assessed all school activities, prepared the KHS Improvement Plan as well as the State Department of Education Improvement Plan, wrote the new KHS handbook, participated in the preparation for the State and National Leadership Conference, assisted in the preparation of the DOE budget, recruited teachers for KHS, and prepared testing and education reports for elementary and high schools. With the College of Micronesia-FSM Kosrae State Campus, Hadik managed and taught the intensive English program and taught all English classes, Micronesian History, Introduction to Music, Expository Writing, and the World of Work. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hadik served as Senior English Teacher and English Chair at Kosrae High School and taught all seven senior English classes and coached the Kosrae debate team.
Mr. Hadik received his bachelor of arts degree in Social Studies from Bob Jones University.
