Dr. David M. Borja

Commissioner of Education, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands Public School System.

Since his retirement from the U.S. Army in 1994, Dr. Borja has been employed by the CNMI Public School System. He started as a classroom teacher at Marianas High School and served as school principal at Hopwood Junior High, as Associate Commissioner for Administrative Services, and presently as Commissioner of Education. He also served as Teacher Representative to the Board of Education from 1997 to 2000.

He holds a professional doctorate degree in business administration (DBA), a master’s degree in management and supervision (MA), and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics (BA). He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, U.S. Army Combined Arms and Services Staff School, U.S. Army Corps of Engineer Advanced and Basic Officer Courses, and the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School.
